Our commitment to inclusivity is reflected in our culturally responsive culture, with a significant Aboriginal student population that enriches our school through shared knowledge and history. We are proud to host programs such as the Clontarf Academy, Shooting Stars, Follow the Dream, and the Stephen Michael Foundation, which support all students in creating successful pathways.
The Student Services team at Collie SHS is dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of our students. As a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) school, we work explicitly with students to understand behavioural expectations and celebrate their successes. Our dedicated staff work closely with students and their families to meet individual goals, ensuring that every student can be the best version of themselves.
Our strong partnerships with local industry and workplaces offer students valuable real-world experiences, facilitating successful transitions into the workforce through apprenticeships and traineeships. Additionally, our collaboration with SW Regional TAFE provides senior students access to over 26 certificate courses, broadening their educational and career opportunities.

The Arts Learning Area is a well-established department within the school which places an emphasis on excellence. Students have the opportunity to develop the creative aspects of their personality as well as their skill levels in manipulating materials utilising a range of techniques.
Student work often gains major awards at the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery's Iluka Visions Exhibition which is held annually, and we also hold our own exhibition at the Collie Art Gallery, titled 'Brightsparks'. Here, the public is able to experience a wide range of styles and techniques as we showcase our students' amazing abilities.
Twice a year, we also hold Arts Evenings at the Performing Arts Centre at Collie Senior High School where not only visual arts students display their talents, but also the performing arts students. Here, we present a range of music, drama and media items along with visual art and photography pieces. These evenings are usually played to a full house of 150 - 160 people and are an avenue for students to perform to an audience.
As well as engaging all Lower School students within the performing and visual arts, we also offer a range of choices for our Upper School students to continue their studies. These courses include:

- General Visual Arts
- Certificate ll in Visual Arts
- P Courses in Visual Arts
The Arts is well regarded within Collie Senior High School and the general community as we forge links with our local Gallery as well as the South West networks to enable students to gain the very best opportunities that we are able to afford them.

Parents at Collie Senior High School have a very good track record of paying their Voluntary Contributions and Charges. We appreciate the efforts of our parents and they should pride themselves on their continued support of their community high school.

Parents are strongly encouraged to continue to pay all contributions and charges because this will help to support your child and provide the best learning environment.

Payment Plans:
Parents who are unable to make full payment of contributions and charges on commencement of a course are encouraged to contact the school to discuss payment options in confidence with the Manager of Corporate Services. This ongoing co-operation between the school and parents is vitally important to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
Secondary Assistance Scheme:
If you are the holder of a Centrelink Health Care Card, Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card or Veterans Affair Pensioner Concession Card you may be eligible for up to $350 towards school expenses. Contributions and Charges allow us to enrich your child’s learning with extra resources.
- Lower School
- The basic charge of $235 provides classroom sets of textbooks, daily classroom consumables and information technology facilities.
- Elective Units
- Elective units additional charges. These payments required at the beginning of the school year.
- Senior School
- 50 per cent of contributions and charges are required to be paid at the start of the school year. Charges will depend upon your child's particular course.
- Voluntary Charges
- These are set for amenities, Parents and Citizens Association and chaplaincy.
- Fees and contributions can be paid in the following ways:
- In full by the end of Term 1 Payment plan ie installments by either direct debit or credit card.
